A plead for silence I have gifted.
What trouble my life has been
Upon my shores, downfall is found
From the horizon beyond
My sight doesn’t stray
All people seek me
My melody they cannot resist
A voice so sweet
I’ve known it my whole life
I can no more deny my song
Than a man can deny his hunger
In my chest it resonates
A mere captive I am
Standing on living deck
I am summoned
Beneath my feet, my men are buried
Their forgiveness I’ll beg for
I exist for this reason
To hum the notes that tighten my throat
I sing into the wind
My wail it carries as song
I go deep into the water,
On the days the melody consumes me
My treasure, my echoing treasure
Upon your shores I finally land.
My fight leaves me, my song free and loose
On the shores I wait, hungry for destiny
