A Child of the Sun

I am a child of the sun

He who has known me shall testify

With blind eyes and sugared lips,

To the joys I bring to this here consumed hearth.

In the summer a lily blooms.

Its edges ripple away

Leaving nearly nothing willing.

I sour what little you have given

From acid ash I conceive

Come closer still, so you may see your own sweet face

My harvest; Near my breast

The warmth from your body sweetens me

Lay there

Away from me, close your eyes

Let the will take you

In the summer a lily blooms.
